Utilizing articulating robot arms over traditional palletizers allows for flexibility and versatility. By utilizing custom designed end-of-arm tooling or automatic tool changers, product change over becomes flexible, allowing easy switching between palletizing bags, cartons, and drums. Depending on the throughput rates, the robot can also perform other tasks such as sheet placement, pallet placement, or even labeling of containers.
